I know every now and then you need to look for a whois information for a specific domain, eerh! i guess you know what whois service is… Its basically a service or desktop application that gives you information about a domain. The information can be about the current nameservers of the domain, the life of the domain or the date of registration and expiry etc.
The interesting news is that now you can use Google itself as a Whois Lookup tool. According to Googlified, this service was already launched by Google back in 2004 but was taken off after 2 weeks of its release. This time Google has partnered with DomainTools to provide the Whois records instead of abusively querying the network solutions’ Whois database itself.
To use the Whois Lookup service provided by Google, just go to Google and type in “whois yourdomain.com” to get creation and expiry dates of the domain. Click on the link to get detailed information about the domain on DomainTools.
