Yahoo is pulling the plug on it’s Live Video streaming service Y! Live and it will be going off the air on December 3rd as noted on official Y! Live blog,

So it is with great sadness that I share the news that Yahoo! Live, a Brickhouse project in social broadcasting will be going off the air on 3 December 2008. We’d like to thank everyone who has participated. Without all of you, Y!Live would not have built the strong community that it has. It has been really interesting (and entertaining) to see all of the ways broadcasters have used Live, developing it into a place for all sorts of social interactions.

I personally had liked the idea of Live Video streaming by Y! Live and really feel disappointed as why Yahoo is pulling the plug on Y! Live, It was launched earlier this year and had received tremendous user response. This action could be result of partially because of the competition in the market, because Yahoo experienced tractions from its Y! Live users since ever the UStream was launched. So I hope they come up with another good experiment like this one in the future or may be continue this service who knows!
