Backing up my computer and online data is my top priority. As they say it is better to be safe than sorry, no one knows when they worst could happen and you end up loosing all the important files and data which might have taken hours of hand work to complie. Here are some of the programs that can help you back up your data and for free.

    1. SilverKeeper

SilverKeeper is the most handy tool that i even came across, When you have this software installed backing up your data is a breez no complications at all. It would automate your data backup to external storage devices like hard drives, network drives, and other removable storage devices that have IDE, SATA, eSATA, IDE/ATA/ATAPI, SCSI, USB, or FireWire interfaces. SilverKeeper V2.0 is a new release of LaCie’s free backup application. It has been designed to support Apple’s OS X operating system for Intel and PowerPC based Macintosh computers

    2. Jaback

Jacback is just another very handy tool to back up your data for Mac OS. It Automates Backups of your important files and folders.  The backup set is created in standard ZIP format.  This allows flexibility in restoring the data using any zip software to unzip the backup set. And once you have the back up of your Data you can store them online through FTP or email them to your server.
