Free Samples are shipped by Exporters to their Potential buyers or Importers in order to seek Sales orders. They are randomly selected pieces of certain products that Seller wants to export to their customers.
However there are certain points which should be taken into account whether free samples are worth it or not. For instance if you are selling very expensive products just like a Car, Computer, Photocopeier etc then of course you cant offer the samples free of cost.
The best practice in the business suggests that instead of offering of free sample up front you should offer a refund for the price of sample if the buyer places the order with you. For instance a sample costs $100 and you charge him $100 for the sample and when the buyer actually places the order with you then you give him discount of $100 the price he paid for the sample. There are many people over the internet whose sole intent is to get free samples from the exporters and sell them and make some money and they never place the orders, the above method will discourage this practice and also help the exporters to secure more orders, as they would be getting sample request from serious parties only.
