If you notice GoogleCrashhandler.exe file running in your computer processes under Task Manager then you don’t need to freak out, I just found it’s neither a virus nor a spyware. It’s actually a helper file associated with Google Update Software which you can see in below image

Today for some reasons when one of the application on my computer was not opening so quickly i tried to see the processes running on my computer under Task Manager window and i took notice of this file, and I got little suspicious however quick search on the Web revealed as i noted above that this is a file associated with Google Update software that i have installed on my computer. So You really not worry about that, just let it stay in computer don’t mess around with it. :}

IT would have been nice, though, if Google had put the explanation on the dexcription of the process.
Thanks, I was trying for the longest to find out what that was. It doesn’t take up any CPU Usage so that’s a good thing.
It DOES cause problems, Microsoft internet explorer freezes sometimes when google crash handler starts on it’s own when watching video stream, when process is killed, video starts playing again instantly.
It causes system to be slow, and consumes resources. I do not know how to remove it.
I found out that this process connects to a enermous list of servers. I discovered it when I saw the list of IP connected to my computer in router configuration. Some of these IPs links to google page but some of them to sites that have no connection with Google. I think it’s strange and it could slow down your internet and computer
When my machine starts having issues I unload this program and the associated updater. My machine then behaves and speeds back up to normal.
i’ve got it too..actually it’s makes me can’t browse facebook.com. When it happen, i removed it from my task manager, and it works.
So it’s harmless if Google tells you it’s harmless?
Even if it is harmless, Google certainly knows better than to have a process that just runs like this.
They often operate in the realm of open source software development and they well know that this sort of thing is a major no-no from the standpoint of a software developer with integrity.
If a process like this is going to install and run, the installer needs to indicate that it will do so, and it must also include a complete description of what the process is, what it does and why it’s needed.
The way this process is installed and the way it runs is very suspicious and, because I have seen Google do this sort of thing several times now, I’m really starting to question Google’s integrity and motives, and wonder who’s really operating the company these days.
