Wordpress has got thousands of plugins and When I started this blog I was very keen to play with them at least with the most popular ones. Installing and Uninstalling any Wordpress Plugin is made very easier in the latest Wordpress release. If for some reasons you choose to uninstall any plugin on your Wordpress blog. Here are the few steps you can go through to achieve that.

Plugin’s Uninstall Script: Certain plugins such as WP Super Cahce come with their own uninstall script, therefore before you proceed to uninstall any of the Wordpress plugin look for the uninstall script in the Admin settings of the plugin. If your plugin has an uninstall option, run that script first. It is necessary to delete the Database tables that were created by that plugin.

Deactivate the Plugin and Delete it: On the Plugin Settings page there is an option to Deactivate the plugin. Click it. And by now your Plugin should stop functioning. And If you don’t want to use that plugin in future then it’s advised to delete it as well. Which you can achieve either by clicking the ‘Delete’ button next to the Plugin name. Or You can manually delete it by logging into your Wordpress Plugin Directory through FTP. Hope this has been useful.
